On December 5 of each year marks the International Volunteer Day (IVD), a date which began in 1985 by the General Assembly of the United Nations to promote economic and social development. During this last time volunteer work has grown steadily, achieving a great social importance that it is as a powerful resource to promote the conquest equal fundamental human rights.
The contribution of volunteerism is a cornerstone in the work of any NGO. It is for this reason that Habitat for Humanity Argentina (HPHA), wanted to match the work done throughout the year by its volunteers, organizing a flywheel in order to highlight the value of that work in solidarity and inviting more people to join to improve their environment.
The event was attended by members of HPHA and many volunteers, some new and some already known for his work in the organization. It began with a meeting, using as a meeting place Plaza de Mayo in Buenos Aires, where attendees, alluding T-shirt and hat, is provisioned brochures and separated into groups, began to travel to spread to surrounding streets joy conclusion and provide information to passers and any interested parties.

At the end of the day, which lasted approximately two hours and recorded the distribution of more than 5000 brochures, volunteers and members of HPHA reconvened in the square and after an exchange of experiences they went to The Office Local Buenos Aires to share a snack. After a few words and a video tribute from the coordinators, volunteers were recognized with a diploma for his work at Habitat. rights promotes voluntary service to facilitate mutual cooperation and the link between people, in order to achieve important social changes.
