begin with the last trip made, a combination of Athens and Santorini. The journey begins with a stay of 4 days and 3 nights in Athens. The good thing about Athens is that the most interesting to watch this together, so if you take a hotel near that area, you can even walk (with the exception of Piraeus, which you can take the train).
We stayed in a hotel near Omonia Square , the truth is that this very well, Jason Prime Hotel : http://hoteles.muchoviaje.com/hoteles/Atenas/Hotel/ HOTEL_JASON_PRIME/GUATH.JAS1.html
From there to Omonia Square is 5 minutes walk and Acropolis 45 minutes, although there is a meter that fucks in Omonia square and leaves you near the ruins (we prefer kicking).

Athens looks good in a couple or three days do not need more. This is what we did:
1st day: arrival in Athens 11:00. Arrival at the hotel about 12:00. Eating at a MacDonald's in pretty cool Omonia square, decorated with details of the Olympic Games of 2004 (and then have time to savor the great Greek cuisine.) Take in a meter square takes you to Piraeus (about 0.70 € per person). When you get there, get ready to kick a bit, since the metro-rail to the area "pretty" is a ratillo Piraeus. We recommend the area of \u200b\u200b" Zea, which is like a bay, where there are plenty of bars and restaurants to dine on a terrace near the sea.
2nd day: get up early to go to the Acropolis walk. The road is not heavy and the way you see something more than ruins and tourist areas. In addition, Athens is very safe. We planted on the Acropolis at about 9:00. Worth up early a little bit, because when we left there around 10:30, there was a huge queue to enter. The entrance to the Acropolis is 12 € per person, but that entry also serves you to see other sights in the area (so it's not expensive, considering you'll get to see one of the wonders of the ancient world). A tip: do not ever pick up a stone from there, albeit tiny, if you do not want to take you to the station (no joke).
Leaving the Acropolis we ate some chocolate crepes AWESOME, with coffee smoothies huge milk. Athens say that water is free and good, so I always will give you a glass of water with whatever you ask. From there we went to see The "Temple of Zeus , which is 2 streets, but not worth much (there are a few columns standing), and "Arch of Hadrian ", which is next.
Then we went to Syntagma Square where is the changing of the guard (every hour) and is quite picturesque to see (recommended). From Syntagma Square begins a pedestrian street that leads to Monastiraki district, and the Temple of Theseion . We visited the temple with the entrance to the Acropolis, and it costs nothing, and eat there (yeah, yeah, all in one morning!). After all this tute, the best is going to take a nap ...
By late afternoon, a visit to the neighborhood Plaka (from Omonia take the metro and stop at "Akropol", about 3 stops), and we dined there, there are plenty of restaurants with terrace. By the way, we see the Acropolis at night ...
3rd day: Morning visit the " National Archaeological Museum of Athens and climb the" mountain Likabetos "in a rack (7 € per person). The views of Athens from here are breathtaking. Afternoon relax and walk around Monastiraki and Plaka.
4 th day: Departure from the hotel to airport for flight to Santorini . Flight 1 hour. arrival at hotel "El Greco " about noon. Recomendadísimo!: http://www.quehoteles.com/hotel-de-santorini-El-Greco-4C18P227D839Z15558EF.htm
hotel, apart from being very quiet (there are houses) is in a perfect location, just 500 meters from Fira , so we should not take the car to go to town and is the best (Fira) to walk, drink, dinner ... the whole island (for at least for us). It has no beach, but in 20 min. drive you can go to beaches across the island.
What to say Santorini! is amazing. One word: spectacular . The whole island is full of white houses with blue windows, and other pastel colors. All have the same structure, so preserving the aesthetics (not a single tall building across the island.) It is very quiet, and perfect to spend about 3 days, no more, and you see the island in one day (from end to end about 14 km).

the afternoon we went to rent a car (an ordeal). They are expensive and scarce. It took a Daewoo Matiz (an egg with wheels) about 65 € per night. Then around Fira (nice). Reserve one of the few trips that can make the visit to the boiler (about 20 € per person). Dinner at the restaurant Nikolas. " It is small but it's where you eat better, and there's a line to enter ... ask Mousaka and fish ...
5 th day: Morning the trip to the boiler. Santorini is a crescent, the other is Thirasia , and in the middle of the two islands is a very tiny, which is nothing other than the cone of a volcano. The tour takes you to the volcanic cone called Nea Kameni , you bathe in warm water and red (iron), visits and eat Thirasia there. In the afternoon return to Fira, and you can climb to the village by cable car or donkey (or walk over 600 steps).
6 th day: Route by car across the island: Pirgos, red beach (you have to leave your car and walk about 2km from where we swam in a sandy red), Faros (which is the southernmost area of \u200b\u200bthe island), and we went up north to Oia , to stay until sunset. There is a point (you will see it because it is full of people looking at the sun) which is one of the best sunsets in the world (so they say).
7 th day: Visit to ancient Thira, where we see the ruins of the ancient capital of Santorini, (quite interesting to see and free). The climb to the ruins is material, and an even more egg on wheels. From there you also have a good view of islay beaches of Kamari . That's where we're going later. Kamari is like the tourist area of \u200b\u200bthe island (beach bars and that.) We swim there and eat. In the afternoon we returned to the hotel.
On Sunday night (about 22:00) from Fira you can see a fireworks show that simulate an eruption in the caldera (from Nea Kameni). This very well.

8 th day: Return .
